Bollywood has always been a fawning host to pretty imports from the West. There has been a phenomenal rise in the number of hotties who crossed the oceans to land roles in Hindi films. The 'Firangi goris' have now started getting prized lead roles as well. One of the loveliest 'gori mem-s' to gatecrash Bollywood has been Giselle Monteiro, who debuted with Imtiaz Ali's 'Love Aaj Kal'. The beautiful Brazilian was seen next in SRK's home production 'Always Kabhi Kabhi'.
The young actress hates the tag - "model-turned -actress". In a recent interview, she said, "I never came to Bollywood for movies. In fact, I never even once looked at it as an opportunity. I got into this industry by sheer accident."
Evidently her Bollywood debut got her great fame in Brazil too. In May 2010, Giselle appeared on 'The Fantástico' on Brazil's Rede Globo network where she spoke extensively about working and living in Mumbai.
